Here are a few key points to remember when registering and competing in Texas with the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program.  We host events for Challenge and Explore. If you are not sure which program you are in, DO NOT assume.  Please contact your local Program Delivery Coordinator (PDC) or email [email protected] and we will gladly help you.

• Registration in Texas opens September 16, 2024 at 8am CT.
• After you have PAID, you can then return to sign up for an event.
• Registration in Texas closes on October 31, 2024 at 8pm CT.
• You can only compete within your Region / Area.
• All participants (Coaches / Mentors / Students) must complete a FIRST in Texas Consent and Release form. Please share this link with everyone. We cannot accept paper forms. (http://fitexas.io/cr)
• All fees (both national and state) must be paid before attending the event.

FIRST LEGO League Challenge – Texas Rules

• You may register for ONE Qualifier per season. Registering for multiple will block you from participating and advancing.
• If you need to change your Qualifier, contact [email protected] Due to timing and capacity, your move may not be granted.
• You may only attend an event in your Region/Area. This is typically a radius within 1 hour of your billing address.
• Students must be in grades 4th-8th (Final year for 8th grade)
• All Area Championships will advance teams to the FIRST in Texas State Championship. Teams will advance from our state championship to FIRST World Championship.
• Advancements to the FIRST World Championship will be done only at the FIRST in Texas State Championship event.
• All registration fees (National / Texas) must be paid before attending.

FIRST LEGO League Explore – Texas Rules

• You may register (pay) for and attend more than one Expo in Texas per season.
• FIRST LEGO League Explore in Texas is NON-ADVANCING
• You may move from one Expo to another by emailing [email protected] at least two weeks in advance. Please note that due to timing and capacity, we may be unable to approve your move.
• Students must be in grades K-3rd
• All registration fees (National / Texas) must be paid before attending.
• All participants (students) and coaches must complete a FIRST in Texas Consent & Release form per season. https://fitexas.io/cr
