Important things:

  1. Make sure you are already registered and have a regular team number with FIRST. This is typically a three to five digit number. We cannot register you with a temporary (unpaid) team number from FIRST.
  2. If you would like to pay by credit card, please select CHECK on check-out. You will receive an invoice via email that will have a link you can easily pay by Credit Card.
  3. For teams that would like to use a FIRST® in Texas grant to cover FIRST® in Texas registration, you still need to register using our Store. When you check out, select the “Check” option. We will work with our grants team to close the loop for teams that are using grant funding. Please be aware that you also need to make sure that you have completed the proper steps with our grants team to indicate that you would like your grant funds to be used for registration.   4. Please remember, all participants (Coaches / Mentors / Students) must complete a FIRST in Texas Consent and Release Form. This is done online via this link. http://fitexas.io/cr
  5. It is important that ALL adults working with teams this year are background checked. FIRST in Texas offers a free and frustration free resource to do that. Team safety is a TEAM EFFORT.

You Must be Registered to Compete

After registering, you will receive several emails. If you do not receive them, check your SPAM folder as some school systems heavily restrict our ability to communicate with you.

FIRST Tech Challenge Registration 2023 – 2024

Welcome to the 2023 – 2024 FIRST Tech Challenge – CENTER STAGE season for FIRST in Texas. Please ensure to complete the order form completely to properly route your information to the appropriate region.

GRANT PAYMENTS:  If you wish to use your FIRST in Texas grant, please check out with “CHECK” option. We will work with our grants team to cover your registration fee automatically based on your completed paperwork. Questions, email [email protected]

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS: If you wish to use your credit card for payment, please check out with “CHECK” option. You will receive an invoice after completing registration that you can then pay with your credit card. Otherwise, process the Invoice for payment.

Each team must be registered in Texas.

**SEASON REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR 2023 – 2024**

This is for students in Grades 7-12. Students in 6th grade may be a member of a team but may not be the majority of the team members. You are allowed 15 members on the two.  After registering, you will receive an email with instructions on joining a league within your area / region. You may NOT participate in multiple leagues, different methods of play (in person / remote) or change league after your first meet.

You are not “event ready” until you have two coaches assigned to your FIRST Inspires account, completed youth protection review and have paid both FIRST Inspires and FIRST in Texas.
