Join FIRST in Texas for another exciting FIRST Tech Challenge – Certified Coaches class in San Antonio. This three and one half day session (28 hours) will teach coaches using the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) program key skills useful to building confidence and success in the classroom and with your team(s).

Key skills learned and demonstrated:

1. unboxing your kit – what is in the box (hands on)
2. discussion on robot design (lecture)
3. putting together a basic robot for competition (hands on)
4. getting your robot moving – programming (hands on)
5. how to be successful in judging sessions (lecture)
6. grants available to teams and how to apply (lecture)
7. robot competition (hands on)

Coaches will need to bring their own laptop and charger. FIRST in Texas will provide a class robot that you will use to do the hands on skills.  Lunch, certificate of competition and “Certified Coach” t-shirt provided.
